Heated in the oven or on the grill, this easy 'n cheesy bread will be a year-round favorite.
1 loaf (1 pound) French bread
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 ounces)
1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
1/4 cup finely chopped roasted red bell peppers, (from 7-ounce jar), well drained
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro, if desired
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 small onion, finely chopped (1/4 cup)
1. Heat oven to 400ºF. Cut bread loaf horizontally into 3 layers. Mix remaining ingredients.
2. Spread half of the cheese mixture over bottom layer. Top with second layer; spread with remaining cheese mixture. Top with third layer; press firmly.
3. Wrap securely in heavy-duty aluminum foil. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until hot.
